Justice Manmohan Singh as chairperson of IPAB

Retired Delhi High Court Judge, Justice Manmohan Singh has been appointed acting Chairperson of Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB)

Notification issued on 1st January 2017 states that,

“In accordance with order No. P-24017/44/2017-IPR-I dated 29th December 2017 of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion), Government of India, New Delhi, Shri Justice Manmohan Singh, assumed the additional charge of Chairman, IPAB from 1st January 2018 (FN).”

Justice Manmohan Singh joined the Bar in 1980 and practised in Delhi High Court, mostly on the original side in Trade Mark, Copyright and Patent matters for about nine years. He was appointed the judge of the Delhi High Court in 2008 and retired on September 21, 2016. He then served as Chairperson of Appellate Tribunal for Forfeited Property.
