Padmavat Row: Multiplex Owner Beaten Up

The most controversial movie of the year has now taken another move, as the movie got released on 25th of January 2018 after lot many threats and controversies. The Karni Sena has protested a lot and took the vow that they won’t let the movie release. After a lot of changes in the scenes in the movie by the Censor Board.

The Karni Sena and other Protestants of the party have created a lot of violence in several states such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh the area around the national capital region in Gurugram. The other members of Karni Sena have stoned the school buses, damaged the vehicles, police in several areas did not allow the members of Karni Sena to the theatres also lathicharged to control the situations.

In the states of Rajasthan, Haryana & Gujarat many multiplex owners denied screening the movie as they say it hurts the religious sentiments, as there is some distortion of historical facts which they are showing in the movie.

The owner of the multiplex in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh was beaten up by the activists as he allowed the movie to be screened in his multiplex, the Protestants of the movie also damaged his car BMW on Thursday. Many other owners of the theatres were threatened by the activists of the Karni Sena not to release the movie. But with all the protests 1 Million already watched the movie.

The former Governor of the state of Rajasthan said in a Literature Festival that watching a movie is totally the choice of the individual those who are determined to watch the movie can move to other states also as in other states it is running smoothly such as Calcutta and others.
